Mr. Hirano is responsible for leading Global Equity Capital LLC’s operational due diligence efforts and its oversight of portfolio companies. Mr. Hirano had been with The Gores Group since 1999 where he was responsible for leading due diligence and oversight of a number of companies, including Vicorp, Aprisma, Aonix, Select Business Systems, Proxicom, Resonate, Daou, Somero, SER, Real Software, WireOne Communications, Enterasys and Diagnostic Health. His relationship with Gores evolved from his role as CFO of Artemis International Solutions Corporation (1999-2001) where he assisted in a successful turnaround and was involved in numerous acquisitions. He also played an integral part in the sale of Artemis to Proha Oyj, a publically traded Finnish software maker and the subsequent reverse merger into Opus. From 1994-1999, Mr. Hirano served as COO/CFO of CUSA, Inc., a publicly traded company on NASDAQ that developed and distributed software solutions in the credit union marketplace, where he was responsible for completing numerous acquisitions and the eventual sale of the company to Fiserv Corporation.

Mr. Hirano earned an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Irvine.
